Children love getting letters, and writing and receiving a personal letter from Santa is tremendously exciting! Canada Post and other countries forward mail to Santa.

While the image of Saint Nicholas comes from a saint who was born in 4th century Turkey, today’s Santa Claus traces his roots to the story Twas the Night Before Christmas that was penned by Clement Moore in 1823. This story popularized Santa and his reindeer. When children around the world learned that Santa would arrive with gifts on Christmas Eve, they began to write letters to him. Traditionally, these letters were placed in the fireplace or on the mantle. Now it's possible to send mail and even email to Santa Claus.
